Defence Day of Pakistan (6th September 1965)
It is a matter of national pride for Pakistan, especially 6th September. Defence day is observed as the anniversary of 1965 Indo-Pak war in which Pakistani army successfully defended its soil against India. And the armed forces had displayed great courage in adversity and this struggle turned into a symbol of national unity.
It started when on 6th September 1965 India launched a full-scale military aggression against Pakistan across the international border in an attempt to capture Lahore. Yet the people of Pakistan and Pak armed forces were determined, resisting all aggression with great determination and valor. The day reminded many a people, for the deeds of war and valour during that period but it was more about those soldiers who fought to give us life,who sacrificed their life for country.Read more
